Mock Tests

Timed PTE Sectional and Full Mock Tests

One section at a time on its own clock, or all four in exam order. Every run ends with a report: marks for each section, an estimated score on the 10–90 scale, and every answer to review.

  • Sectional tests for every section. Forward-only like the real test, with the section clock running from the first question.
  • Full mock tests in exam order. Speaking, Writing, Reading, then Listening, with a screen to breathe between sections, and a resume if you have to stop.
  • Single-task drills go narrower still. Practice one task type at a time, scored as you go.

The Preparation Cycle

What Order Should You Prepare For PTE In?

Use your feedback to choose a task, practise it, and review your progress. Adapt this cycle to your preparation time and target scores.

  1. Find the Weak Section

Sit one sectional mock test per section and see which score is lowest.

  2. Set the Target

65 or 79 changes what you practise, not just how much.

  3. Drill the Weak Task

Practise one task type at a time, then review the score and feedback when ready.

  4. Read the Detail

Trait comments in speaking and writing, the explanation for every reading and listening answer.

  5. Sit a Full Mock

Every week or two. Stamina and accuracy fail in different ways.

  6. Check the Trend

One attempt is noise. Book the test when the trend clears your target.

How Our Scoring Works

How to Read Your Practice Feedback

This is not Pearson’s engine, and no third-party score — ours included — can be more than an estimate. Use the feedback to guide your next practice session.

Answer-key marking

Objective Tasks

Objective Reading and Listening tasks use answer keys, with partial credit and negative marking where applicable. Use the item feedback to understand mistakes; practice scores remain estimates.

Estimated scoring

Speaking, Writing & Spoken Summaries

Feedback is provided for the traits that apply to the task, with estimated scores on the 10–90 scale. These scores do not guarantee a real test result.

Where It Drifts

Open-Ended Content

Describe Image and Re-tell Lecture reward relevance in ways a model approximates. Use these as a trend across attempts, not single-attempt truth.

Understanding Scores

Understand Your PTE Scores

PTE reports overall and individual skill scores on a 10–90 scale. The overall score is not the arithmetic average of the four skill scores. Practice results are estimates and do not establish admission, visa or professional eligibility.

Check the exact test variant, test date and score requirements with the organisation receiving your result.

Use Practice Feedback to Prepare

EasyEnglish is an independent practice platform. Review task feedback, try sectional or full mock tests, and use official Pearson materials to understand your chosen test. Only an official test result can demonstrate your score to a receiving organisation.

Questions People Ask

Questions Before Your First Session

The nine questions test takers actually ask before their first session, answered in two or three sentences each.

What Does the Free Tier Include?

Reading, Writing and Listening practice is unlimited and free. Speaking gives 5 scored answers a day, with no card and no signup. Sign in for 1 free mock test a day. It does not expire. A VIP plan lifts both limits and adds the word-level speaking report.

How Many Task Types Does PTE Academic Have?

Twenty-two scored types: 7 in Speaking, 2 in Writing, 5 in Reading and 8 in Listening. PTE Core has 19 scored types: it uses Write Email instead of Write Essay and excludes Re-tell Lecture, Summarize Group Discussion and Highlight Correct Summary. Our combined practice catalogue has 23 distinct types.

What Is the PTE Exam Pattern?

PTE Academic runs in three parts and contains 22 scored task types: 7 in Speaking, 2 in Writing, 5 in Reading and 8 in Listening. Speaking and Writing share one 76–84 minute block, Reading takes 23–30 minutes and Listening 31–39. PTE Core has different timings and 19 scored task types, including Write Email instead of Write Essay.

What Does a PTE Score of 79 Mean?

79 is a score on the PTE 10–90 scale, not a universal admission or visa threshold. Check the required overall and individual skill scores with the organisation receiving your result. Practice scores are estimates.

How Long Is Each PTE Section?

In PTE Academic, Speaking and Writing together take 76–84 minutes, Reading 23–30, and Listening 31–39. PTE Core has different section timings. Our mock tests run each section on its own clock with no pause button.

Are These Official PTE Scores?

No. This is not Pearson's engine. Objective tasks use answer-key marking. Speaking, Writing and Summarize Spoken Text use estimated scoring and task feedback. Read any score here as an estimate, and the trend across attempts as the useful part.

Do You Have Full-Length PTE Mock Tests?

Yes. Full mock tests run Speaking, Writing, Reading and Listening in exam order. Sectional mocks focus on one section. Browse the mock-test page for the available tests in your selected variant, and sign in to start.

Do You Cover PTE Core as Well as PTE Academic?

Yes. Choose Academic or Core once in the menu and every practice list and mock test follows it. Tasks that appear in only one variant are labelled that way.

Can I Use This Alongside the Official Pearson Tool?

Yes. Use official Pearson materials to understand the test and use our practice to review your answers and feedback. Our estimated scores do not replace an official test result.
