How We Write and Check Our Guides
Our PTE guides are built from official sources and checked before they are published. This page explains who writes them, where the facts come from and how we keep them correct.
Who Writes Our Guides
Our guides are written by the EasyEnglish Team, the team that builds the EasyEnglish PTE practice tasks and mock tests. We publish under the team name instead of individual bylines, and every guide goes through the same process described on this page.
Where Our Facts Come From
Scores, task formats, timings and item counts come from Pearson: the PTE Academic and PTE Core Score Guides and the official pearsonpte.com pages. Test fees come from Pearson's own price list for each country.
Visa, immigration and registration requirements come from the body that sets them, for example the Australian Department of Home Affairs, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, GOV.UK and professional regulators such as Ahpra.
When two Pearson pages disagree, we follow the Score Guide and say so in the guide. We do not take scores, fees or visa rules from third-party websites.
How We Use AI Tools
We use AI tools to help research, draft and check our guides. AI output is never the source of a fact: every number and rule in a guide must match an official source, and guides are checked against those sources before they are published.
How Each Guide Is Checked
- We look at what test takers search for and what the best existing pages leave out, so each guide answers the full question.
- A guide is written from a detailed outline that lists every section, fact and practice item it must cover.
- A separate review pass then opens the official source for the highest-risk facts, tests every practice item and sample answer, and recounts word counts.
- Anything that does not match the source is fixed or removed before the guide is published.
- We compare each guide with our other guides so the site never gives two different answers to the same question.
What Our Practice Scores Mean
Scores on EasyEnglish practice tasks and mock tests are our own estimates on the PTE 10 to 90 scale. They are not official Pearson scores and do not replace a real test result.
Updates and Corrections
A guide shows a verification date only when that date is supported by recorded editorial review. A publication or modification date does not establish that a guide has been verified. We re-check guides when Pearson or a government changes a rule, fee or score requirement.
Found a mistake? Email us at support@inverseai.com with the page link and what is wrong. We check every report against the official source and correct the guide if it is wrong.
